About Me

There is a saying I’m fond of, that once you’re working with the human body, you’re a student for life!

Various body work experiences which, many years ago now, helped me overcome issues as I learnt about my body and its correct function, provoked enough interest to study massage, then chiropractic, and many, many other modalities between and since. Exploring a diversity of the forms which hands on work takes, to build an understanding of how different aspects of a problem might relate to the whole

Finally establishing my own practice in 2019, it is an opportunity to utilise more completely my 20 years experience within bodywork and 9 years in chiropractic. Melding numerous chiropractic techniques and extrapolating that with my own interest in soft tissue, neurodynamics and movement work, I use a blend of approaches which sees some excellent results. Alongside developing this effective combination, additional neural, cranial, and visceral techniques further broaden my practice.

Outside of work, I am actively involved in the New Zealand beer industry, having gained a BJCP Recognised Beer Judge ranking, and my interest in beer sits alongside a passion for organic and natural wines from around the globe. Of course, food tends to go well with those, so I spend a lot of time in the kitchen as well!

Techniques vary depending on the desired result, most sessions include muscle testing and drop table adjustments to the spine and other joints

What is Chiropractic?
What is pain? What else is Hugh occasionally pondering?
